Current Quarter's Work
Allocate the Professional Development funds to an outside Organization to provide Professional Development to Oregon Educators about OVSD and get Schools using the tools. Getting the word out about OVSD and getting schools to use the tools is a high priority and we are looking at outsourcing the staff work and passing through funds to the ESD’s for implementation. The University of Oregon will provide on line training content.
Purchase forty more courses fin the core areas or middle school and high school teaching. Purchases are planned to come from programs like SK Online, Oregon Online and Oregon Universities for all schools to use. Our Public, instate Providers offer a cost effective path for us to increase our online catalogue for school use. OVSD will buy their courses an improve them. This continues our commitments to provide flexible online teaching tools for all districts, invest in Oregon education programs through cost effective strategies.
U of O will be seeking grants for funds and assist with OVSD Development.
